Cheesy Garlic Bread 🍞

The bread comes out perfectly crisp on the edges, soft in the middle, and loaded with melty cheese and garlicky flavor. Ingredients
- 2 garlic bulbs
- Olive oil (as needed)
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- Pinch of sugar
- 1/2 tsp vinegar
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups bread flour
- Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Chop off heads of both garlic bulbs. Place in ramekin and cover with olive oil, salt and black pepper.
- Roast at 400°F for 40 minutes.
- To a stand mixer add 3/4 cups warm water, 1 packet active dry yeast and a pinch of sugar. Rest for 5 minutes.
- Add 1 1/2 tablespoons oive oil, a half teaspoon of vinegar and a pinch of salt
- While mixing contents of stand mixer on low/medium low add 1 1/2 to 2 cups of bread flour until dough is smooth and cohesive.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel and let it rest for 1 to 2 hours
- Transfer to a lined baking dish, cover again with the damp towel and let it rest for 15 minutes
- Make indents in the dough with your fingers, pour the garlic oil over the dough and squeeze the roasted garlic cloves over dough.
- Bake at 475°F for 10 minutes, adding mozzarella half way through.
- After removing the dish from the oven, top with fresh chives before slicing into portions of your choice.
